TAA. All work

Every room has something to say. Now you’ll hear it.

Ruddud puts live polls, word clouds, quizzes and Q&A inside a presentation. The audience answers from their phones in seconds, and the session ends with a written report of what the room said. I designed and built the product and its website.

What it does

  1. 01

    Ask

Eighteen kinds of slide: polls, word clouds, scales, rankings, open questions, quizzes with a leaderboard, surveys, a group photo. Import a PowerPoint or PDF and drop questions between the slides.

  2. 02

    Join

People scan the code on screen or type four characters. No app, no account. They can answer from the web or straight from WhatsApp.

    0 apps to install
  3. 03

    Watch

Answers fill the room screen as they arrive: bars, columns, a word cloud that grows, a leaderboard that moves.

    Leave with a report

When the session ends, Ruddud writes up the themes, the mood, the quotes worth keeping and what was decided, with a CSV for the spreadsheet people.

The website

A product site drawn by hand, not assembled from a template.

Warm paper instead of a cold grey, a pen that draws itself in, a face for every participant, and one set of pages in three languages.

ruddud.com in Arabic, right to left

Arabic is a first-class reader, not a translation.

The same pages mirror right to left: layout, arrows, numbers and type. Arabic headlines get their own face, and handwriting switches to Ruqʿa, the way Arabic is written by hand day to day.

Most people meet it on a phone.

Every page is designed for the narrow screen first, because that is where the audience is.

The studio

Behind the site, a deck editor where every slide can ask.

Presenters build the deck, pick a question type, and each type brings its own options: chart style, answers per person, scale labels, a right answer for a quiz. Then they press Start and the room joins.
